Welcome,

to the comic book review site that ignores the classic super hero comic and gives you an idea of different comics to look out for. Put down your Superman or your Spiderman comic and pick up something different like Crossed or 100 Bullets. Here comics are reviewed from the outlook of somebody biased against super hero comics, somebody who wants to see more from the bad guy and the happy ending being a little less happy, or the art being a little less for children and more for the mature reader.

For a comic the challenges your morals read: Crossed.

For a dark comedy that pushes religious boundaries read: Wormwood.

Looking for something absurd go for: Grendel

Going for a bit more of a realistic story try: 100 Bullets

Still wanting a hero, try an anti-hero with: The Punisher

Want a new take on Jesus, check out: Loaded Bible

I personally recommend the work of Garth Ennis. He is willing to push the boundaries with creative liciencing.

Currently finished reviews: 303, The Boys, Wormwood, Loaded Bible, 100 Bullets, & Grendel

Some short reviews are done based on reprints of comics first issues.

keep an eye out for updated reviews as I get my hands on more of a series or have more of a think about the comics during one of my re-reads.

Don't worry, I wont use spoilers, so you can enjoy any comic I review without knowing much about what actually happens.
